We are recruiting for a top notch Analyst of medication billing in EpicRx to work in the Davis, CA area.
Requirements:
- Current EpicRx / Willow certification required
- Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Demonstrated hands-on system build experience with Epic Rx and setting up an Epic inpatient and outpatient medication billing interface to a third party system
- Knowledge and experience with First Data Bank, NDC, HCPCS, AWP and billing functions
- Knowledge and experience of inpatient, outpatient and HSD pharmacy workflows and processes
- Experience implementing Epic Rx in a large, integrated healthcare system with inpatient, outpatient and hospital outpatient departments (cancer center, hospital service departments (HSD), etc.)
- Knowledge and experience developing, supporting and testing interfaces from Epic to Invision, Pyxis and outpatient billing systems
- Ability to design, build and test Clarity reports to monitor billing output and interfaces
- Ability to analyze medication billing data and reports from decision support and billing systems
Responsibilities:
- Document a process and data flow map for inpatient and outpatient medication billing and related system interfaces.
- Analyze system and report data to determine root cause of medication billing and reimbursement issues.
- Design reports or lead report design to monitor and audit medication billing processes.
- Document maintenance and monitoring processes for ensuring business continuity and early identification of potential issues.
- Participate in meetings with key stakeholders from pharmacy, information systems, clinic operations, finance, billing, and reporting. Document main points, issues and key decisions.
- Analyze and document the billing impact and process steps required to prepare and test First Data Bank and other system and charge related updates.
- Ensure test scenarios for billing and related system updates are adequately documented. Assist with unit and integrated testing as needed.
- Provide documentation and training to transfer knowledge and operational support to the Pharmacy Team and Billing Representatives.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM, no weekends, no holidays. Pay is commensurate with experience.
