This is pair of EV 848 horn and drivers. The 848 is a coaxial horn that handles midrange and lower treble frequencies. These were made in the late 50's and one has its original box. These horns were actually part of the Georgian and Patrician speaker systems. They are extremely efficient at 105 db/watt. These speakers are still being made and are in use for paging systems and the like. a new set would cost you $1400. These horns are very good sounding with flat frequency response. Add a tweeter and a 15" speaker in a horn loaded enclosure powered by 5 watt tube amps and you have yourself a wall of sound. $400
