Description
Precious is an American Staffordshire Terrier that was rescued from a high-kill shelter. Before that she was severely mistreated by her owner. She has suffered much, most recently bloat, diabetes and a thyroid condition. She was literally starving to death. Getting all this under control took some time but thanks to the wonderful staff at Johnson Ranch Vet and an even more wonderful foster Mom, Patty, Precious is on her way back to the healthy life that she deserves. The first photo is Precious before. The next two are Precious after. You can see how far she's come and we all think she's worth it. Her next hurdle is eye surgery to remove cataracts due to the diabetes. Luckily it was diagnosed early enough for successful treatment. She is spayed, up to date on all her shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, gets along with other dogs and people and is just a really great girl.
